What if there's a bigger picture
What if I'm missing out
What if there's a greater purpose
I could be living right now
Outside my own little world." - Matthew West
How often do we as christians live our lives enjoying the priviledges of our faith, while simultaneously denying our obligations to advance God's kingdom (the very reason we are saved)?
Hi my name is Peace and I gave my life to Jesus Christ two years ago. Ever since I was saved, I have been going to church and reading the bible. There's just one problem: my life mirrors the life of the guy in this song. I have been enjoying the blessings while neglecting the work it takes to follow Christ. In January, I caught a glimpse of what the rest of the world was enduring, everything from disease to poverty to slavery. And ever since then, I've had this thought gnawing at me in the back of my mind asking, "What are you going to do about this?"
Fast forward to about a week ago... I was sitting at bible study and we were reading a chapter about how we are too comfortable with the existence of these issues. I felt challenged to do something about it.
